What kegs can I use with the PerfectDraft Machines?

PerfectDraft machines are designed exclusively for 6-litre PerfectDraft kegs. This applies to all four machine options: the Original Philips PerfectDraft, PerfectDraft Pro, PerfectDraft Pro Black and PerfectDraft Black. Standard pub kegs, 5L mini kegs, 8L Blade kegs and kegs made for other draught systems will not fit or operate correctly.

You can browse the PerfectDraft keg range available from TheKegCru, including lagers, ales, IPAs, wheat beers, stouts and ciders.

Which kegs fit a PerfectDraft machine?

Use a keg specifically labelled as a PerfectDraft 6L keg. These kegs use the dedicated PerfectDraft connection and dispensing system. According to PerfectDraft UK, the format is compatible with both the Philips PerfectDraft and PerfectDraft Pro machines.

  • PerfectDraft 6L kegs: compatible.
  • Standard commercial beer kegs: not compatible.
  • 5L party or mini kegs: not compatible.
  • Blade 8L kegs: not compatible.
  • Kegs made for competitor systems: not compatible.

How much beer is in a PerfectDraft keg?

Each PerfectDraft keg contains 6 litres, equal to approximately 10.5 Irish pints before allowing for any foam or wastage during pouring.

How long does a PerfectDraft keg stay fresh?

PerfectDraft states that beer can remain fresh for up to 30 days once the keg is installed, provided the machine remains switched on and the beer is kept correctly chilled. The Original PerfectDraft serves at 3°C, while the PerfectDraft Pro offers adjustable temperature control from 0°C to 12°C.
