How to Connect Your Machine to the App

  1. Install the App:

    • Download and install the latest version of the PerfectDraft iOS or Android app on your phone.
  2. Set Up the Machine:

    • Plug in your PerfectDraft machine.
    • Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
    • Follow the app instructions to pair the machine with your device. For Android users, ensure "location services" are also on.
  3. Pairing the Machine:

    • Ensure you are close enough for your phone to find the machine via Bluetooth.
    • Once connected, press the connectivity button on your machine until it turns blue (hold for 10 seconds).
    • Through the app, select your wireless network.
  4. Control via App:

    • You can now control the temperature, see freshness days left, and check the beer volume.

Using PerfectDraft Pro Without the App

  • Functionality:
    • Yes, you can still use your PerfectDraft Pro without connecting it to the app! However, you won't be able to adjust the temperature remotely, extend your temperature range to 0-12 degrees, or receive any remote updates we make to improve how the machine functions. Not to mention, you'll miss out on all the great features the app has to offer!

Power-Saving Mode

What is Power-Saving Mode?

  • A new feature available only on the PerfectDraft Pro machine that allows users to reduce energy consumption by scheduling changes in the cooling temperature via the PerfectDraft App.
  • When turned on, power-saving mode holds the beer at higher temperatures, reducing energy consumption compared to the standard mode of 6°C or less. Users can leave power-saving mode activated for as long as they wish.
  • By keeping the beer on power-saving mode, the machine’s energy consumption can drop by up to 40% compared to a machine kept at 3°C over the same period with an ambient temperature of 22°C (+/- 1°).
  • If power-saving mode is not active, the PerfectDraft Pro consumes approximately 130W while actively cooling.

How to Switch Cooling Mode?

  • Power-saving mode can only be activated via the app if the PerfectDraft Pro machine is connected to Wi-Fi. Ensure you have the latest version of the app, then on the main screen, select the standard mode and change to power-saving mode or use the cooling scheduler.
  • Users can turn off power-saving mode via the machine by pressing the plus (+) button or the minus (-) button twice. Via the app, select the alternative mode.
  • You should be able to select a mode in your app when the snake is on, but it will not kick in until the snake is finished. After the snake, the machine will start cooling to the chosen mode target temperature. If you cannot edit the mode, fully shut down the app and open it again.

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Cannot See Target Temperature on the App When Power-Saving Mode is On:

    • This is expected. While power-saving mode is on, the app will only show the current beer temperature. However, you can check the power-saving mode set temperature by pressing the plus (+) or minus (-) button on the machine once.
  • Cannot Turn On Cooling Scheduler or Power-Saving Mode:

    • As soon as you connect your machine, you may get an error when turning on the temperature range due to a delay in communication between the app and the cloud after the connection is finalised. Try again after 1 minute. If the error persists, shake your phone or take a screenshot to submit a bug report to our customer service team.

Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues

  1. Volume or Temperature Not in Sync:

    • If the display values don’t match the app, the machine may have disconnected. Check for a stable white light on the machine. If it’s any other colour, reconnect.
  2. Connectivity Tips:

    • Ensure you have the latest app version.
    • Turn on Bluetooth and follow the app’s pairing instructions.
    • Ensure location services are active on your device.
    • Move the PerfectDraft Pro closer to your WiFi router.
  3. Losing Connectivity:

    • If the machine’s light is not stable white, it’s disconnected.
    • Unplug the machine, wait 10 seconds, and replug to reconnect to WiFi.
    • Ensure location services are activated and follow the app’s reconnection steps.
    • Reboot your phone if issues persist, especially for Apple devices due to Bluetooth access across multiple devices.

Network Recommendations

  • WiFi Network:
    • Ensure you are connected to a single, unique WiFi network, preferably 2.4 GHz.
    • Avoid connecting to 5 GHz networks, which may cause connectivity issues.

Multiple Devices and Machines

  1. Multiple Machines:

    • You can only register one machine per app account currently, but this may change in future updates. Sign up for notifications in the app settings to stay updated.
  2. Multiple Devices:

    • You can control one machine from multiple devices as long as they are logged into the same account. The machine is designed for control by one device, so using multiple devices may not provide the smoothest experience.
